Costumes That Rock

I was in a production of Beauty and the Beast this past Christmas. There have been many forms of this show put up, everywhere from Broadway to high school gyms. With these many venues and budgets, comes the creative costuming work.

I played the role of Mrs. Potts. Being a porcelain tea pot, I was very curious to see what my costume would look like.

Right, so that was what I was in for. You can imagine my surprise when costumer extraordinaire, Brian Bast, presented me with this:

Now call me biased but I love this costume. In fact when I compare the costume I got to others, it boggles my mind as to why a Pott's costume would be designed any differently! This costume looks like the character, while keeping a stage feel, and it looks elegant and realistic. So thank-you for putting me in this costume instead of any other :)

  1. I love your costume. I am going to be making one for our stage play soon. Is there anyway to send a note to Brian? This is the best one I've seen so far.
